About us...

Horry County Schools serves over 37,000 students from nine attendance areas and is the third largest among the South Carolina's 85 school districts. Horry County is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the east and North Carolina to the north and has a land mass larger than the state of Rhode Island.

The district has a total of 48 schools which include 26 elementary schools, eleven middle schools, nine high schools, two career centers, a Scholars Academy, an Early College high school, and an alternative school.
