It is important to understand that anyone can publish information, in either print or non-print formats, and that just because something is in print doesn't mean that it is truthful or accurate. Print materials found in your school library are selected by library media specialists, who are trained in the selection and purchase of quality materials. However electronic resources don't necessarily follow that same selection procedure.

For this reason the following questions should be asked about all information resources that you use: Is the information on target? Does the information support your research statement? Is the information accurate? Who authored the information? Is the information timely? When was the site published?
