Our next big event will be the Fall Festival on Saturday, November 3rd. This will be a fun day for everyone with lots of food, entertainment, and games for all.  Our Burgess Elementary School t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts will also be available for purchase at the festival.

We still need you to join the PTA.  The cost is only $4 for single membership or $7 for family membership. Forms are available in the front office.

PTA Meeting Monday, October 8

Our first PTA meeting for the year is scheduled Monday, October 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the St. James Elementary School multi-purpose room. Our 3rd and 4th grade classes will be singing The Star Spangled Banner, The B.E.S.T. (our school song), Make A Difference, and Big Heart.                         

We will also have a PowerPoint presentation of progress on the new building and a floor plan and elevation of the new building on display.  Joe Burch, coordinator of planning with Horry County Schools, will be present to answer any questions you may have about the construction progress.
