Students in Horry County Schools have been “Talkin’ Trash” for the past eight years. Each month, a different recyclable is collected by students at each school. The school that recycles the most items that month wins. Schools are judged based on the number of pounds collected per fourth grade students per month. There are three categories of schools based on the number of fourth grade students at each of the schools. Each month, the winning school from each of the three categories receives a plaque, a prize, and a visit from the Talkin’ Trash crew.Burgess Elementaryhas been announced as the Talkin’ Trash winner for our category for the month of October!
