Sub Teacher

Substitutes in Horry County Schools play an important role in assisting regular staff members with student learning.  We believe that all students can learn at high levels and that it is both our pleasure and our responsibility to teach them.

Please note the requirements to become a substitute teacher with Horry County schools have been changed to meet the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) requirements.  You are now required to have completed a minimum of 60 college credit hours OR passed the ParaPro assessment with a minimum score of 456.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a substitute teacher with Horry County Schools.  The substitute workshop for March 2010 has been closed. We are currently not accepting applications for substitute teachers.  Please continue to check the website for updated information.
