Long Term Disability
Basic
The Basic Long Term Disability (BLTD) Plan, administered by Standard Insurance Company, is an employer funded disability plan provided by the state. This benefit is available for all employees enrolled in a State health plan. It helps protect a portion of your income if you become disabled. This benefit is provided at no cost to the employee.

Supplemental Long Term Disability
Supplemental Long Term Disability is available at employee cost. The benefit waiting periods available are either 90 or 180. The premium will be calculated on the employee’s age as of the preceding January 1.

Long Term Care
Long term care is the day-to-day assistance that you need when you have a serious illness or disability that may last for a long time, and you are unable to perform activities of daily living (bathing, eating, dressing, transferring, continence and toileting) or you need supervision due to cognitive (mental) impairment. It includes a wide range of services that can be provided in your home, an adult day-care center, an assisted living facility, a nursing home or a hospice.
