Tobacco Free Horry County Schools

Horry County Schools recognizes and acknowledges the detrimental effects of tobacco use on our schools and in our community.  With a desire to promote the healthiest environment for our staff and students, effective December 1, 2007, all Horry County School campuses (including the District Office) will become a “tobacco-free” environment. This link has been created to assist HCS staff, students and parents in locating tobacco cessation resources in Horry County, and to provide some important information about tobacco.

Cessation Resources for HCS Students

Intervention and cessation-type programs are ideal for students who use tobacco and have a desire to stop, or are thinking about quitting.  Horry County Schools has collaborated with community alcohol, drug, and tobacco prevention specialists and community stakeholders.
