Online Public Review for the 2023 South Carolina Mathematics Standards

The 2023 South Carolina Mathematics Standards are now available for public review and feedback through an online public review survey. The deadline to submit feedback is Monday, June 12, 2023. The development process established provides an opportunity to ensure South Carolina’s high-quality standards are based on current research and best practices and meet the varied educational needs of our state’s students.

The feedback surveys were developed, with permission, using the criteria for assessment of standards found in The State of State Standards Post-Common Core report published by Fordham Institute in 2018. The public review feedback surveys can be accessed using the links below.

Public comments must be submitted via the online survey forms. More detailed information regarding the organization of the standards and the theoretical foundations that informed this work are included in the draft standards document, also linked below. All stakeholders are invited to review the draft standards and provide feedback using the online forms above by Monday, June 12, 2023.
