Elks National Foundation Scholarship's Most Valuable Student: Ranging from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year, Most Valuable Student scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree, on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. college or university. All scholarships are in the form of certificates of award conditional upon the full-time enrollment of the winner in an accredited U.S. college or university. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Eligibility: current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply. Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks. High school graduates are not eligible to apply. Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify. Deadline: November 15, 2020 at 11:59PM, Pacific Time.
Teaching Fellows Scholarship: The SC Teaching Fellows application is hosted by Kaleidoscope and serves as the first step in the rigorous identification process for Teaching Fellows. The application submission window is open from October 1st until December 1st. Students must apply for Teaching Fellows during their final year of high school. In order for your application to be considered complete you must answer all mandatory questions and a high school transcript, your ACT and/or SAT scores, and two references must be submitted before 11:59 PM on December 1, 2020. You will enter your school counselor’s name and contact information as a part of the online application. Kaleidoscope will contact your school counselor and ask them to submit your transcript. We strongly encourage you to alert your counselor to the fact that you have applied and that they should receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org. Deadline: December 1, 2020.
The Key Scholarship: Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and Horry Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (HTC) have partnered to offer two scholarship awards to graduating high school seniors from Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg, and the southern part of Florence County. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to rising college freshmen seeking a four-year degree from Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University. The scholarship may be renewed for an additional three years in the amount of $500 per year should the award recipient continue to meet qualifying criteria. The amount a Key Scholarship recipient may be awarded over a four-year period is $2,500. Deadline: March 5, 2021 If any information is incomplete, the application could be rejected. If the application is postmarked after March 5, 2021 the application will be rejected.
