Scholarships with Upcoming Deadlines
SC Teaching Fellows Program in amounts up to $24,000 over four years. Deadline: December 1, 2019. The Program is entering its 21st year of offering the state’s brightest and best students to become South Carolina educators. This year the program welcomes Clemson University as a Teaching Fellows Institution.
Kitty M. Fairey Educational Fund Scholarship. Deadline: December 2, 2019. Must have a competitive or recreational interest in golf.
The National Honor Society (NHS) Scholarship. Since 1946, more than $15 million in scholarships has been awarded to outstanding NHS senior members. The scholarship program is supported by the parent organization of NHS, the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). Deadline: December 6, 2019.

Scholarships with Future Deadlines
Tidelands Trophy Club Scholarship Contest. 1st Place $5,000, 2nd Place $3000, 3rd Place $2000. The application is easy and can be completed in 10 minutes online. The only requirements are that you attend school as a senior in Horry or Georgetown County and are planning to further your academics at a university or technical school.
South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship. Deadline: January 8, 2020. Must have a competitive or recreational interest in golf.
The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. The Coolidge may be used by recipients at any accredited American college or university. Anyone of any background, pursuing any academic discipline of study, may apply to this non-partisan, need-blind, program. Students apply for the Coolidge Scholarship during their junior year of high school. Deadline: January 16, 2020.
High School Oratorical Scholarship Program: "A Constitutional Speech Contest". 1st Place $2000, 2nd Place $1000, 3rd Place $500, 4th Place $500. Deadline: January 21, 2020. The purpose of The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program "A Constitutional Speech Contest" is to develop a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States on the part of high school students. Other objectives of the contest include the development of leadership skills, the ability to think and speak clearly and intelligently, and the preparation for acceptance of the duties and responsibilities, the rights, and privileges of American citizenship.
Beach Ball Classic Scholarship. Since 1984, the Scholarship Fund has contributed over $350,000 in college scholarships to over 300 deserving high school seniors in Horry County. Each year one student from each high school in Horry County will be awarded the annual scholarship. This scholarship would not be possible without the generous support from DDC Engineers and the annual scholarship raffle held during the Beach Ball Classic. Deadline: February 28, 2020. Amount: $1,000 (Nine scholarships minimum awarded).
The Grand Strand Running Club is proud to offer two $1,000 Scholarships to a Grand Strand High School graduating female and male. Deadline: April 1, 2020. A primary objective of the running club is the promotion of running throughout the Grand Strand community. In this regard, running-related activities will be heavily rated in comparison to scholastic achievements and community involvement.
