Middle School Counseling

The Mission of Aynor Middle school counselors is to provide support to all students in the areas of academic, social/emotional and career development. The counselors assist with transitioning new students, including advising parents and students on course selection and challenges related to early adolescents. Counselors address topics such as conflict resolution, school success skills, career exploration and other areas pertinent to middle school age youth. They meet individually with students in need of additional support with interpersonal issues. Middle school counselors identify and provide assistance to students who are in danger of failing a subject by assisting with  organization, study skills and goal-setting.  Beginning in Grade 6, there is a focus on college and career exploration that lays a foundation for post-high school planning.
