Welcome back, Seahawks!
As we begin a new school year, it is good for us to reflect on where we have been. During the 2018-2019 school year, we were a part of a strong school community that came together to support one another during Hurricane Florence and ensuing flood. Myrtle Beach High School helped raise money to provide opportunities for our NJROTC cadets and HOSA students to compete on the National level at competitions in Florida and Texas, respectively, and we cheered on our studentathletes as they brought home multiple State Championships. Additionally, we witnessed a production of “The Sound of Music” that was absolutely incredible and celebrated a holiday musical with the show choir, band, and orchestra. At the conclusion of the year, we celebrated the graduating class of 2019 who attained the highest graduation rate that MBHS has seen in over a decade!
Now, it is your turn to leave your mark on Myrtle Beach High School. As we enter the 2019-2020 school year, I encourage each of you to get involved in our school community through volunteering in school-related functions, participating in our school improvement council, sponsoring student activities, attending athletic and artistic events, building our new PTSO, and supporting our school family in every possible way. We want you to be a part of your student’s experience at Myrtle Beach High School. The partnership between the school and the home is vital to your student's success. The administrative team, faculty, and staff are here to support your student and we look forward to the opportunity to work together this year. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if there is anything we can do to improve your student’s experience at Myrtle Beach High School.
