George Rogers Foundation First in Family Scholarship : DUE 5-15-21
The George Rogers Foundation was founded in an effort to provide scholarships for first in family students in need of financial assistance. George Rogers developed the foundation as a means of giving back to both a school and a community that provided for him during his years at the University of South Carolina.
The deadline for mailed submissions is April 21, 2021. The deadline for submission via email is May 15, 2021

Horry County Farm Bureau Scholarship: DUE 6-1-21
The HorryConway County Farm Bureau of South Carolina is an agricultural related organization with the intent of helping Farmers and Ranchers, and making sure agriculture continues to be the number one commodity in South Carolina. Our County office is awarding a $1,000.00 scholarship to a senior whose parent/legal guardian is a Farm Bureau member in our local area; to become a member visit or call our Horry-Conway Farm Bureau office.

George K. Robinson Youth Achievement Award DUE: 5-16-21
Gamma Lambda Boulé of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity is seeking deserving African American male high school
seniors who reside in Charleston, Dorchester, Horry or Berkeley County to be recognized for their
achievements in the areas of service, leadership, academic achievement and/or athletic
accomplishments. Each honoree will receive a onetime award of $1000 given directly to the honoree. -
The Bubba and Bleeker Cannon Student Athlete Scholarship: DUE 4-30-21
The purpose of The Bubba and Bleeker Cannon Student-Athlete Scholarship is to honor the Cannons, their life-long commitment to education, and their tireless support of athletics. A one-time scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Myrtle Beach High School Senior student-athlete. The actual scholarship will be paid directly to the college or university of choice.

Thomas R. Garrett Scholarship :DUE 4-15-21
SABR’s Negro Leagues Committee will award $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors in its 13th annual Thomas R. Garrett Scholarship essay contest in 2021. Students must write a 1,200-word essay answering a question related to one of the Negro League figures who are the namesakes of the scholarships. APPLY HERE

Women in Baseball Scholarship: DUE 6-14-21
SABR’s Women in Baseball Committee will award one $500 scholarship to a high school senior in its inaugural Women in Baseball Essay Contest in 2021.

The Low Country Herb Society Scholarship DUE: 5-3-21
The Low Country Herb Society, a group whose purpose is to stimulate an increased awareness and knowledge of herbs, to sponsor and cultivate related herb programs in the community and to gain knowledge and stimulate interest in the planting, harvesting and uses of herbs, is pleased to offer two $1000 scholarships to students living within Horry and Georgetown counties.

The Brave at Heart Scholarship : DUE : 5-3-21
The Brave at Heart Foundation announces their 2021 Scholarship Awards. This year’s program will award $500 scholarships to graduating seniors attending Conway, Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Socastee, St. James, Waccamaw, and Carvers Bay High Schools within the Horry County and Georgetown County school districts.

Doug Shaw Memorial Scholarship DUE: 5-12-21
It is the intent of the Shaw Family that good come from the untimely ending of a life too soon removed, and students from Myrtle Beach will benefit from the annual giving of a $1000.00 scholarship. Doug Shaw believed in young people and what they could accomplish through commitment and determination. He strived to teach this through the example he set on the practice/playing field, in his community. His love for family, friends and Myrtle Beach High School will long be remembered. It is hoped that the recipient of this scholarship exhibits those qualities that made Doug Shaw a respected individual.
