Student and Parent Resources
HCS Virtual FLEX is a program of Horry County Schools that began in 2009 and was developed to provide quality online learning opportunities for students in grades 9-12. Our FLEX program allows students in grades 9-12 to take one or two courses to supplement courses taken at the brick-and-mortar school.
The K-12 HCS Virtual full-time program was added for the 2020-21 school year to offer a full-time online-learning option for K-12 students. HCS Virtual also supports the enrollment of students in courses offered through the state’s online learning program, VirtualSC.
Advisement for Student-Athletes
The NCAA has very strict guidelines regarding credit for courses taken online. Some online courses may not be approved by the NCAA. Before enrolling in any online class, be sure to consult with your high school’s athletic director and your guidance counselor to determine if the online course that you are considering is approved for credit by the NCAA.
