Become a Playcard intern or volunteer

Internships are available through Coastal Carolina University in the areas of Biology, Education, Marine Science, Health Services, and other areas of study.

Volunteers are recruited from all walks of life.  If you enjoy giving back to the community Playcard is for you.  Bring your passion to the outdoors and share it with children.  Expect to get your hands dirty and your feet wet helping the Playcard family reach its goals of serving the community with citizen science, outdoor skills, and natural history.

Support maintenance and program delivery in many areas of study including naturalism, forestry, ecology, biology, astronomy, pioneer history, Native American history, birding, primitive survival, team building, water quality analysis, astronomy, and fishing.  Playcard needs volunteers for special events such as SwampFest, Baby Animal Day, and Bio-blitz. Choose one or more content areas of study, learn the hands-on skills and assist Staff with facilitation of programs. The farm, garden, log cabin, and trails need regular maintenance and volunteers are needed to assist. Eagle Scout and other community service projects needed include the construction of trail bridges, swings, benches, and signage.

Don't have time to volunteer? Donate instead
