Welcome to Waccamaw Elementary, a part of the Carolina Forest cluster of schools, home of the Wildcats and The Waccamaw Way! I am proud to be the principal of the greatest group of students, parents, teachers and staff around. Waccamaw is extra special to me since I have served as instructional coach, assistant principal and now principal of our outstanding school.
I am a South Carolina native, a product of the SC public school system. I attended public schools in Irmo, Anderson, Gaffney, and Florence. I am a graduate of West Florence High School, the College of Charleston and Coastal Carolina University. My husband and I have three boys and we enjoy outdoor adventures and spending time together. I began my educational career as a special education teacher in Charleston, SC and I have spent the last sixteen years with Horry County Schools. My twenty one years of experience include classroom teacher, district learning specialist, instructional coach, and Assistant Principal. I look forward to learning and growing with our WES students this year. In partnership with Waccamaw parents, teachers and community, we will equip students to become Listeners, Learners and Leaders by teaching them “The Waccamaw Way.” I AM A WILDCAT!
