• The PSAT test date has changed!

The PSAT will be given at CFHS on Wednesday, October 24th instead of the originally scheduled date of October 10th.

    • If you are in 10th grade (second year of high school) and had previously signed up before the 9/7 deadline, you are scheduled to take the exam on 10/24.

    • If you are in 11th grade and are scheduled in English 3 or 4 Honors or ENG Lang AP or ENG Lit AP t hen you were automatically signed up.

Practice booklets have not arrived yet but will be available in the front of each house as soon as they arrive.

We understand that some students are worried because we have been out of school and may not want  to miss class for the  PSAT test. Please email Mrs. Praefke (lpraefke@horrycountyschools.net) if you do not wish to take the exam.

The PSAT (which stands for Preliminary SAT) will not count towards your college admissions application. However, you can use the PSAT as practice for the SAT and ACT and one of the starting points on your College Admissions journey. The PSAT is 2 hours and 45 minutes long and tests your skills in Reading, Writing, and Math.
