National Senior Beta Club
About National Beta Club
The National Senior Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. For more than 80 years, it has prepared today's students to be tomorrow's leaders.
The National Senior BETA Club mission statement is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.
Achievement - recognizing and honoring high academic achievement
Character - preparing young people for life and empowering them to be successful
Leadership - developing the leaders of tomorrow
Service - demonstrating our motto: Let us lead by serving others.
After first semester grades are finalized, all current MBHS students who have a 3.5 weighted GPA or higher are considered as potential inductees for membership. Administration reviews the list of eligible students and reviews discipline records individually. Students with a level 2 or level 3 discipline offense or higher will not receive an invitation. Administration has the final authority to finalize the student roster for those who will receive invitation letters to join BETA Club.
Induction invitation letters, including information regarding dues and the date of the induction ceremony, are distributed to students as soon as the student list is finalized. At that time, students wishing to join turn in their dues of $25 payable to MBHS (which covers the duration of the high school career). Members in good standing may also purchase graduation honor cords during their senior year for $10.
Meeting attendance and community service hours are encouraged, but not required.
