Raised Bed Vegetable Garden- Restore: Habitat

Students  planted, maintained, and harvested our school vegetable garden. When plants were harvested in the community garden, students tasted the food they grew. As students tasted each plant from the vegetable garden they were given a sticker to put on a chart. With this sticker students recorded their response to the tasting (such as, “I didn’t like it,” “I tasted it and would like to eat this again,” etc.) Students participated in BEST Night where they taught the community how to make origami newspaper pots. Each person was able to plant a pea seedling that was planted by the students.
