Stormwater Drain Marking- Protect: Water

A Coastal Carolina University representative presented to third and fourth graders about our watershed and the importance of keeping our storm drains and waterways clean from pollutants. Students participated in an interactive activity where all the information learned was modeled. After the presentation, students created brochures, Public Service Announcements, and posters about the importance of keeping our waterways clean from pollutants. Students walked the campus to survey the storm drains. Students were looking for storm drains that had odors, debris, sediments, erosion, water flow, and oil sheen.
