Vanessa Borrelli

1st Grade Teacher 

Hello, my name is Vanessa Borrelli!

I am not originally a Southerner. I moved to South Carolina from Ohio in 2013 to continue my education in teaching. I graduated from Coastal Carolina University majoring in Early Childhood Education. During my first year working in Horry County Schools, I started as a Kindergarten Assistant. The next year I became a first-grade teacher and that is the grade I continue to teach. In May 2020, I completed my Master’s Degree in education from Coastal.

Being an educator is and has been my life’s dreams and goals. Even though I tend to focus the majority of my time on my career as an educator, I do enjoy other adventures in life. I love being at home with my new rescue dog and my bird. When I do get some spare time, I enjoy being outside! Getting the chance to hike or walk on the beach are some of my favorite hobbies.   

I am beyond excited about being a part of such an amazing group of educators at MBP!
