Melissa Gibson

2nd Grade Teacher

Hello, my name is Melissa Gibson!  

This is my eighth year at Myrtle Beach Primary. It is a great honor to be a part of the wonderful family here at MBP.  I grew up in Pawleys Island, SC. I attended Coastal Carolina University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 2011, and a Master of Education with a specialization in Instructional Technology in 2013. Before coming to Myrtle Beach Primary, I taught fifth and sixth grades in McClellanville, SC for two years, then decided to get my certification in Early Childhood in 2016. I take real joy in helping children learn to read and becoming lifelong learners. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my three boys, swimming, shopping, and reading. I look forward to a great year.
