AMPD is a competitive program developed from a partnership
between Winthrop University's College of Business Administration
and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The program is devoted to
increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in the
accounting field with emphasis placed on preparing students for
entry level positions in the accounting profession. We now accept 20 students each year within the program. 5 students are offered $2,000 scholarships and the others are given at least $500. If a student is accepted in the program and ever decides to drop the program they are not penalized and may keep their money and take advantage of the perks the program offers throughout the semester.
