• 2021 AAST Senior Ceremony Information



    Academy for the Arts, Science, and Technology



    Seniors and guests will enter through the exterior doors of the Community Room.  Students will drop off any items being returned to school including digital devices, textbooks, library books or other items belonging to Horry County Schools.  Seniors will be escorted through the cafeteria to the auditorium's left side door while guest are escorted into the auditorium seating.  


    Video Recording

    Guests are welcome to record any or all of the proceedings.



    Seniors and guests will park in the AAST parking lot.



    As this is a ceremonial event, we ask that all guests conduct themselves befitting the occasion. Alcohol is expressly forbidden. Fireworks, glassware, bottles, weapons, firearms, signs and other items that could contribute to hazardous conditions are not allowed and will be confiscated. Anyone with items deemed to be unsafe or to be safety hazards will be asked to leave the ceremony. Because they detract from the ceremony, noisemakers, umbrellas, balloons, balls or blow-up objects of any kind are prohibited. Guests are not permitted in the senior seating area and are to remain seated during the entire ceremony. Taking pictures and videotaping is allowed, but tripods and monopods are not permitted. Cameras must be battery-operated and patrons must remain seated while taking photographs and videotaping. No strollers, car seats or baby carriers of any kind will be allowed in the seating area.
