Melody Larrimore

2nd Grade Teacher

Hello, my name is Melody Larrimore!

I teach second grade at Myrtle Beach Primary. I have been teaching since 2008, and I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I spent my first two years at Ocean Bay Elementary teaching third grade, and ten years teaching first grade at Myrtle Beach Primary. Now I teach second grade and I absolutely love it! I have two beautiful daughters, Rainie and Snow, and a wonderful husband named Philip. I have a BS in Early Childhood Education and a MS in Literacy from Coastal Carolina University. I also have a BS in Psychology and Business Administration. My goals for my students this year are to give them the academic, leadership, and social skills they need to progress to third grade, to provide a supportive, engaging, and rigorous classroom environment, to help them make new friends and discover new interests, and to help foster their love of reading and thirst for knowledge.
