    Forestbrook Middle School parents and staff received an email and voicemail on December 21 detailing how distance learning will look for our school. Details below:

    Below is information that was shared via voicemail and email with families of our current brick-and-mortar students. If you have not been receiving these messages, please contact Mrs. Rutenberg to update your contact information: mrutenberg001@horrycountyschools.net
     
    By now, you have received notification from our Superintendent's office that we are moving to full distance learning beginning on Jan. 4th, 2021 through Jan. 15th, 2021. Please take a moment to review the FMS Full Distance Learning Schedule. Share this information with your student to be sure they are aware of how school will be conducted during this time away from our building.
     
    Cohort A/G Students:
    Monday: Join all classes via Google Meets following this schedule. Attendance taken during class.
    Tuesday: Join all classes via Google Meets following this schedule. Attendance taken during class.
    Wednesday: Log into all Google Classrooms throughout the day and complete independent work assigned (no bell schedule and attendance is based on completion of work).
    Thursday: Log into all Google Classrooms throughout the day and complete independent work assigned (no bell schedule and attendance is based on completion of work).
    Friday: Join all classes via Google Meets following this schedule. Attendance taken during class.
     
    Cohort B/G Students:
    Monday: Log into all Google Classrooms throughout the day and complete independent work assigned (no bell schedule and attendance is based on completion of work).
    Tuesday: Log into all Google Classrooms throughout the day and complete independent work assigned (no bell schedule and attendance is based on completion of work).
    Wednesday: Join all classes via Google Meets following this schedule. Attendance taken during class.
    Thursday: Join all classes via Google Meets following this schedule. Attendance taken during class.
    Friday: Join all classes via Google Meets following this schedule. Attendance taken during class.
     
    During this time away from the building, your student may need assistance with a broken Chromebook or charger. Assistance with these items will be by appointment only by contacting our Technology Assistant Ms. Ginger Jacob at GJacob@horrycountyschools.net
     
    The faculty and staff of FMS wish all of our families a Happy Holiday! We sincerely hope all of you stay safe and healthy during this time. If your student or anyone in your household tests positive for Covid and this could affect their safe return to school after January 15th, please contact Mrs. Rutenberg via email to allow her to communicate your concerns with DHEC and ensure safety protocols are followed. Clear communication between school and home during this time is of the utmost importance.
