Q & A with Mrs. Gallagher

Mrs. Gallagher teaches Literacy and Numberacy to students in all grades here at MBHS.  Originally born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, she and her famliy moved to the Grand Strand in 2015.  

Q:What activities or hobbies do you do in your free time?

A: Reading, knitting, crafting, sewing, watching and attending sporting events, movies, theater

Q: Why did you decide to become a teacher?

A: I was a career changer and decided to sub in the nearby high school, I was hooked.

Q: What advice would you share with people who are interested in becoming teachers?

A: Love the subject you teach, love the kids you teach unconditionally.

Q: What motivates you to do what you do?

A: Every graduation day when that one student that you thought would never make it across the stage does!!

Q: What advice would you/do you give to your students?

A: Show up, do what is asked of you, ask for help when you need it and find some adult in the building that you trust.
