- 2022 2023 PSAT for all 8th Graders Wednesday, October 12th, 2022

-
All 8th grade students in Horry County will participate in the PSAT/NMSQT this year on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
*There is NO MAKE UP DAY for PSAT.
The PSAT is divided into 4 TIMED tests: Reading, Writing & Language, Math with Calculator, and Math without Calculator.
Students must complete all 4 sections to receive a score from College Board. Scores are usually released mid December from College Board.
Tips to prepare for the PSAT/NMSQT:
- Student Study Guides will be given to each student mid September (as soon as College Boards sends them to us)
- Visit KHAN Academy at https://www.khanacademy.org This site has lots of practice tests for the SAT (which covers the same knowledge areas).
- You can also take practice tests straight from College Board at https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/psat-nmsqt-psat-10/practice/full-length-practice-tests
The PSAT/NMSQT is based off of knowledge learned from English I, Algebra I, and Algebra II- so this is just a practice test for our 8th graders to get them comfortable with the format of PSAT/SAT/ACT😊😊😊
