Purpose:
What is the Spanish Club you ask?
The Spanish Club is an organization outside of class, which includes like-minded individuals who have a passion for learning Spanish and learning about Spanish-Speaking cultures. We gather to celebrate Hispanic Holidays and make a difference with our service projects.
The club is student led, but under the guidance of Ms. Southern. The club will meet for the following activities in the Fall Semester:
* Dia De Los Muertos
* La Navidad
Spring Semester:
*Ballet Folklorico Performance
*Cinco de Mayo
Some of the activities and service projects will include, but are not limited to:
*Movie nights
*Preparing authentic desserts and/or dishes
*Las Charlas- Spanish Chat Sessions to practice the language together / TBA
SERVICE PROJECTS:
* Cancer Awareness - American Cancer Society (Area Chapter)
* St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
* Other local fundraisers and donations/TBA
