    The Horry County Board of Education is currently conducting a search for a new superintendent to lead Horry County Schools. In June 2024, the School Board chose BWP & Associates to conduct a search for the next Superintendent. The names of applicants will be confidential, but in keeping with SC state law, the names of the top three finalists will be released to the public.

    Stakeholder input is an important part of the search process. As part of the search process, BWP & Associates will conduct a stakeholder survey, stakeholder focus groups, and public community forums for input from students, staff, parents/guardians, and community members.
