• Tuletia Rivens

    Mrs. Rivens has been an educator for 25 years and has served the students of Horry County Schools for the past 21 years. Mrs. Rivens began her teaching career in Durham, NC with Durham Public Schools. She received her BA degree in English from the University of South Carolina. Once she decided to pursue a career in education, she earned her BA degree in Elementary Education from North Carolina Central University. She furthered her education by earning a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University and a M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Coastal Carolina University.
     
    Mrs. Rivens has administrator experience as the former assistant principal at River Oaks Elementary and Myrtle Beach Primary School. Before that, she was an instructional coach at the former Myrtle Beach Primary and Myrtle Beach Elementary Schools. She has held several roles during her time in Horry County Schools including classroom teacher, Reading Recovery teacher, and lead reading interventionist. 
     
    A South Carolina native, Mrs. Rivens is from Charleston and attended Dorchester 2 County Schools, graduating from Summerville High School. She and her husband are the proud parents of two daughters and enjoy making memories with their family.
    Mrs. Rivens brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to Ocean Bay and is dedicated to supporting the mission of OBE while fostering a community where all learners feel safe, valued, challenged, and more importantly, loved.
