Robotics Team
Welcome to Carolina Forest's Robotics!
We are Team 4073, the RoboKatz!
Each year teams all around the world are given a new game that we have to design and build a robot to play in. We have a set build-time of a little over a month and have to try to create the best robot to play the game. Once the building period is over, teams compete against other teams in regional competitions. The victors of the regionals go to the Championship Competition and compete with other teams from around the world!
Robotics is a great opportunity to learn about careers in technology and the teamwork it takes to create such a massive project.
Because of the time restriction, Robotics is held every day after school during the build period. We can work around your schedule if you want to come and help the Robotics Team. FRC offers a lot of opportunities for students to help the Robotics Team, and not just building the robot. Graphic designers are welcomed as well as people who would like to provide dinners for the team (as we usually eat dinner together because of how late we stay.)
If you are unsure of what you could help with, come after school and see what you might like to do.
FRC also offers scholarships for Junior and Seniors participating in this program.
If you are interested in joining, see Mr. Ernest in G105 or Mr. Layton in F103.
(Robotics officially starts in January after the FRC Kick-Off.)
