Dear Senior Parent/Guardian:
This is a very exciting and busy year for you and your child, and we want to share helpful and important information to ensure a successful senior year.
Counselors will hold a Senior Survival Night for parents and students on TBD at 6:30 pm in the auditorium. Please feel free to come a few minutes early to pick up your materials. During this meeting, we will discuss transcripts, graduation requirements, post-high school options, college/financial aid, and other information pertinent to the senior year. Samantha Hicks, Associate Director with Coastal Carolina’s office of Financial Aid will also speak about the college financial aid process.
All students in the class of 2021, who attend CFHS, as well as their parents, are encouraged to attend on TBD or should email their student's counselor to schedule an appointment for an individual meeting. You are welcome to attend both the information night as well as an individual meeting, but it is not required, as the same information will be covered. If possible, it would be best to make an appointment with your child's counselor during September to meet critical deadlines. Conferences may be scheduled between 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please schedule a time when your son/daughter can also attend the meeting (preferably during an elective course). If you are not able to attend the senior night or make an appointment during the school day, please email your child’s counselor to let her know; we can arrange to meet with the student and send the information home.
