Student Council

In order for students to develop leadership skills and achieve Excellence Every Day, Everywhere, our school provides opportunities for students to become leaders. Each spring, students campaign for positions as student body officers for student council. Student council homeroom representatives serve as liaisons between their classrooms and the student council officers. Our school’s student council members aid in preparing for assemblies, dances, pep rallies, and other school programs. Student guides serve as ambassadors during career day, take rising fifth grade students and parents on school tours during orientation, and help greet visitors when they come to our school. 

Our student body president and vice president travel to the district office to serve on the Superintendent Advisory Council. They also represent the student body at PTO and Student Improvement Council meetings, and when greeting special guests such as the HCS Superintendent and South Carolina State Superintendent of Schools.
