PCHP Statement
The Parent-Child Home Program is a national evidence-based, research-validated early childhood literacy, parenting, and school readiness program. PCHP serves approximately 165 qualifying children between the ages of 16-months to 4 years old throughout Horry County. Trained English and Spanish speaking Home Educators visit the families twice a week. Home Educators model parenting techniques, emphasizing verbal interaction, by using FREE developmentally appropriate educational books and toys. The program also strengthens families and prepares the children to succeed in school by increasing parent-child interaction.
