    2016-17 Season

How can we work together with ANIMALS?

Get ready. Get set. ROAR! Or you could bark, quack, or squeak, because the 2016 ANIMAL ALLIES season is all about our furry, feathered, and finned friends. In the past, people often thought about how animals could help us. Today, it’s time to think about how we can help each other. What might become possible when we work together with our ANIMAL ALLIES?In the 2016 FIRST LEGO League, more than 28,000 teams of students ages 9-16 will look into the eyes of our ANIMAL ALLIES. What might be possible when we learn to help each other?

FLL challenges kids in over 80 countries to think like scientists and engineers.  During the ANIMAL ALLIES season, teams will build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS® to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game.  They will also choose and solve a real-world problem in the Project.  Throughout their experience, teams will operate under FLL’s signature set of Core Values.

Being a part of the First Lego League is a team effort. Core Values are central to everything we do. Core Values describe a way to work together and respect each other. This also means that ALL members make the decisions and do ALL the work. A team will consist of 10 members. Teams will be decided based on students’ display of Core Values and an evaluation point system at try-outs ion September 15th.
