    If you have received an enrollment package for ACA benefits, this page will help you understand your benefits and how to enroll in coverage or refuse the coverage if you do not want it.

    The benefits are offered as part of the South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA).  You can visit PEBA's website for more information.

    As an eligible employee, you must complete the Part-time Notice of election included in your package and return it to Payroll and Benefits Services within 30 days of your initial eligibility.  Failure to submit the required forms may affect your eligibility and your pay.

    **Special notice if you are already covered by PEBA benefits as a dependent or spouse**

    Now that you have gained eligibility under the Affordable Care Act, you cannot be covered as a dependent or spouse of another State employee.  You must complete this package to enroll in your employee benefits.  Failure to do so may result in your loss of eligibility as an employee and loss of coverage as a dependent or spouse.

    YOU MAY LOSE ALL COVERAGE OFFERED BY PEBA!  Please contact us if you are already covered by PEBA.

    Eligible Benefits:

    Health -  SHP Savings Plan, SHP Standard Plan or TRICARE Supplement Plan

    Dental -  State Dental Plan and  Dental Plus

    Vision -   State Vision Plan

    Pre-tax feature - MoneyPlus Pretax Group Insurance Premium Feature.

    If enrolled in the SHP Savings Plan, these employees will also be eligible to participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA).
