Born in Del Rio, Texas in 1964 to a young Air Force couple, I grew up traveling around this extraordinary country of ours. With over twenty moves under my belt, I can safely say that I am so happy to be back in Horry County. I attended Socastee High School for 1.5 years while my dad was stationed here and before moving to Louisiana. My graduate degree is a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Centenary College. My undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts in French from Louisiana Tech University with an independent study at L'Universite de Liege, Belgium. Right after college, I taught English to students at seven different schools in Japan through the JET program and then taught in Louisiana for 10 years at all levels of school. I look forward to teaching French at St. James High School. I have one daughter who just turned nineteen and is living in Tampa, Florida. She is working and enjoying life...with mom's credit card! I love to scuba dive, travel, and learn about other cultures.
