Message from the Superintendent

I am so excited to become a part of Horry County Schools as its new superintendent.

I have been thoroughly impressed by the teachers, staff, and school leaders that I have had the pleasure of meeting.  They all care deeply about their roles in helping students succeed academically and in life. That passion is made evident by numerous measurable student outcomes and many more that are not measurable.

In 2024, our students, staff, schools, and district won a number of state and national awards and many, many more local recognitions. Horry County Schools also worked with the community to ensure our students had the best educational opportunities.

I hope that you, like me, will take the following pages as an opportunity to reflect on the past to see where we’ve come from so that we can see the path before us more clearly and remember that our best days are ahead!
