School Awards (2025)

  • Scholars Academy High School was named the #1 school in SC, with a 99.7% on its school report card.
     
  • Socastee Elementary and AAST both earned the Palmetto’s Finest Award, which recognizes exceptional instruction, strong leadership, and meaningful community partnerships.
     
  • Loris High’s FFA chapter was selected as a 2025 National Chapter Model of Excellence. Out of over 9,000 FFA chapters in the nation, Loris FFA was one of only 10 to earn this distinction.
     
  • Palmetto Bays Elementary, South Conway Elementary, Waccamaw Elementary, Carolina Forest High, and AAST were recognized by Project Lead the Way for their distinguished programs in the 2024-25 school year.
     
  • Carolina Forest, Green Sea Floyds, North Myrtle Beach, and Socastee High Schools were named STEM Certified Schools by Cognia.
     
  • Conway Elementary School’s Go Green Club, led by STEM teacher Sandra Matthews, won a Champion of the Environment Award from the SC Department of Environmental Services for their plan to create a “pollinator oasis” on school grounds.
     
  • Ten Oaks Middle and South Conway Elementary both earned an award from the SC Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association for their public communication.
     
  • South Conway Elementary was awarded the United Way Caring Cup for the third consecutive year and the seventh time overall since the award was created 17 years ago.
     
  • The band programs at Forestbrook Middle, North Myrtle Beach High, Socastee Middle, and Ten Oaks Middle all earned the Outstanding Performance Award for the 2024-25 school year from the SC Band Directors Association.
     
  • The orchestra programs at Carolina Forest High, Aynor Middle, and Ten Oaks Middle received the Outstanding Performance Award for the 2024-25 school year from the SC Music Educators Association.
