School Closing/Delay Information/Weather

Latest HCS Weather News
Smoke has been visible and impacting parts of our school district (Conway, Aynor, and Loris). The smoke is associated with a contained wildfire in Marion County (Woodbury area) and likely could linger for a few more days. Again, the fire is contained, and there is no current public safety risk to Horry County. School District leadership and operations are actively monitoring conditions and have implemented several actions to ensure a safe environment for our students and staff.

Making a decision to alter the schedule or cancel school is a big decision that is not taken lightly, so we are taking this opportunity to share with you the precautions we take when we are faced with the possibility of inclement weather.
