Horry County Schools (pronounced O-Ree) is inspiring possibilities for student success through a broad range of unique teaching and learning opportunities.  We serve more than 47,000 students and operate 58 schools across nine attendance areas, making us the third-largest district in South Carolina. Our team includes over 3,100 teachers with an average of 18 years of experience—and 65% hold a master’s degree. This depth of experience helps ensure that every learner thrives in a welcoming and academically rigorous environment.
