Placement Procedures for Students from the Spadoni College of Education at CCU

• A signed Criminal Offense Disclosure Statement or SLED Background Check
• Approval from the office of Clinical Placements for practicum placements

Note: No student is to contact any Horry County School District personnel concerning placements including classroom teachers, principals or others affiliated with the district.

• Completion of Spadoni College of Education Application for Internship
• Completion of the Application for Licensure with the South Carolina Department of Education
• FBI/SLED Fingerprint Clearance
• Documentation of Clearance of TB Skin Test
• Passing scores on all required PRAXIS II Content Exams
• Minimum GPA of 2.75 and 3.0 for M.A.T.
• Satisfactory completion and performance in a minimum of 100 hours in Field Experiences I, II, III, and IV
• Satisfactory completion and performance in 75 hours in Field Experience at the MAT level.
• All major coursework completed
• "C” or better in foundations and major courses
• Program adviser and faculty recommendations
• Satisfactory Completion of Specialized professional association (SPA) assessments
