Fine Arts Scholarships

Great news. Horry County Schools will offer in-person Artistically Gifted Summer Program Scholarships for qualifying students. Students interested in a scholarship to attend a summer Artistically Gifted Program will need to complete the Scholarship Application in the area of interest. The application does not guarantee a scholarship award, but it does submit your name for consideration.

HCS offers a variety of scholarships for fine arts students who meet the qualifications.

The Scholarship Application for Orchestra, Band, Chorus, Visual Art, and Theatre are now available. The deadline to complete the application is March 28, 2025.

Scholarship Awards will be announced about April 8, 2025.

Scholarships for Visual Arts Students

Scholarships are available for students currently in grades 6-11 with demonstrated skills in Art who wish to pursue drawing, painting, ceramics, and digital arts.

The visual art camp will be held at the Carolina Forest High School, June 10-12 & 16-19, 8:30-3:30.

Scholarships for Theatre Students

Students currently in grades 5-11 may apply for scholarships to attend 2025 Summer Theatre Program. The HCS Summer Theatre Program will be held at the Carolina Forest High School, June 10-12 & 16-19, 8:30-3:30. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the campus each day.

Scholarships for Orchestra Students

Students currently in grades 7-11 who qualify and attend All-County Orchestra during the school year are eligible to compete for scholarships to attend the Charleston Southern University Summer Music Camp held on that campus on June 16-21, 2025. Here is information about the camp. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the campus in Charleston, SC.

Students currently in grades 7-11 and ages 12-18 who qualify and attend All-County Orchestra during the school year are eligible to compete for scholarships to attend the Furman University Orchestra Camp held on that campus on June 8-13, 2025. Here is information about the camp. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the campus in Greenville, SC.

Students currently in grades 7-11 who qualify and attend All-County Band during the school year are eligible to compete for scholarships to attend the Charleston Southern University Summer Music Camp held on that campus on June 23-28, 2025. Students currently in grades 7-11 and ages 12-18 who qualify and attend All-County Band during the school year are eligible to compete for scholarships to attend the Furman University Band Camp held on that campus on June 8-13, 2025. Students currently in grades 7-11 who qualify and attend All-County Chorus during the school year are eligible to compete for scholarships to attend the Charleston Southern University Summer Music Camp held on that campus on June 16-21, 2025. Students currently in grades 7-11 and ages 14-18 who qualify and attend All-County Chorus during the school year are eligible to compete for scholarships to attend the Furman University Young Artists Vocal Experience held on that campus on July 6-11, 2025.
