Code of Ethics
Every contract or duty, as provided within the District's Procurement Code, imposes an obligation of good faith in its negotiation, performance, or enforcement. "Good faith" means honesty in fact, and in the conduct or transaction concerned, and the observance of reasonable commercial standards of fair dealing.
Horry County School District's Procurement Office and Officials are bound by the highest level of integrity and shall demonstrate ethical behavior in all aspects of the procurement process. Furthermore, we ascribe to the "NIGP Code of Ethics", as well as, the "Principles and Practices of Public Procurement" and are governed by these values in the execution of every procurement action.
