HCS Nutrition Services is working closely with our food distributors and manufacturers to secure food and supply items needed to support our program. However, the availability of these items has been changing daily due to unprecedented issues with the supply chain. While we intend to serve the posted menu items every day at every school, the supply issues may cause us to alter our menus with little to no notice. If changes become necessary, we will attempt to substitute the scheduled menu item with another similar item if possible.
The Nutrition Services program in Horry County Schools feeds over 25,000 customers daily. We understand the important role that good nutrition plays in the education and well being of our children. We take pride in providing our students with delicious, wholesome meals every day! Many schools offer after school enrichment opportunities that also provide healthy snacks to all students in attendance. Please check with your child's school for availability.
HCS Nutrition Services is a sponsor for the USDA Summer Feeding Program. Get more information about participating sites and requirements.
Student Meals
All students in Horry County Schools will receive free breakfast and lunch during the 2024-2025 school year as part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program.
Adult Meal Prices
Breakfast - $3.50
Lunch - $6.00
Paying for Meals/A La Carte Items
There are several payment options available to purchase additional meals or a la carte items at school. Paying in advance ensures that your child does not have to keep up with lunch money. You can pre-pay online by creating an account at www.myschoolbucks.com or pay at the school with cash/check. You will need your child’s student ID number and date of birth to establish an account. Additional meals or a la carte items will not be able to be purchased without available funds. Download the HCS mobile app to your smartphone so you can monitor your child’s account at any time.
Upon the district becoming eligible for the CEP program, any outstanding balances from previous years will still need to be paid in full.
