District Track Meet

The inaugural district track and field meet held at Loris High School in 2021 marked a significant milestone for the district. The meet not only showcased the athletic abilities of the participating high schools but also commemorated the completion of a brand-new, state-of-the-art rubberized track at Loris High School. This remarkable achievement provided student-athletes with an enhanced training environment, setting the stage for future success.

In the second year of the district track and field meet, the celebration extended to North Myrtle Beach High School. Before the meet, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to honor the completion of the upgraded track facilities. This symbolic event emphasized the district's commitment to providing top-notch sporting amenities for its student-athletes and highlighted the ongoing efforts to foster athletic excellence throughout the district.

As a testament to the district's dedication, all nine high schools within Horry County have completed upgrades to their track facilities, ensuring that every student-athlete has access to a rubberized track for practice and competition. This extensive undertaking serves as a testament to the district's commitment to the growth and development of its student-athletes.

The Horry County Schools district track meet at Loris High School and the subsequent track upgrades across all nine high schools have shaped a remarkable historical timeline of progress and advancement. The district takes immense pride in providing student-athletes with world-class resources to support their athletic pursuits.
