Esports Competition
Esports Competition: There will be an Esports Expo/competition during the technology fair. Elementary and middle school students may compete in Mario Kart, and high school students may participate in Super Smash Brothers or Rocket League. Teachers must register student interest by March 16, 2026. Tachers will receive confirmation of students participating in the bracketed event. There will be additional opportunities for individual students to sign up and participate in Esports events the day of the tech fair.
HCS Technology Fair Esports Expo/Competition Registration
Teachers, register your students for the HCS Technology Fair Esports Expo/Competition and let them showcase their gaming skills in a fun and competitive environment!
K-5 and 6-8 Students will participate in the MK8 Derby (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe), racing to victory with speed, strategy, and skill.
9-12 Grade Students will participate in the Esports Expo/Competition, featuring:
Rocket League – High-octane car soccer requiring teamwork and precision.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – Intense 1v1 battles to determine the ultimate champion.
Registration opens on February 9, 2026, and must be completed by Monday, March 16, 2026. Encourage your students to join the excitement! 🚀🎮 Space is limited and school will be notified of final numbers selected to participate.
This event is an expo event to allow students an opportunity to participate in esports as the district continues to grow esports.
More details and brackets will be shared closer to the event date. This will be based on total registration numbers.
