Former Principal Mrs. Penny Foye, Retired Dec. 2022
With an impressive 34 years in education, Penny Foye has been making memories and building confidence in her students. Meet Mrs. Foye, principal of Homewood Elementary School on her edition of The Person Behind the Title.
Mrs. Foye was born in Anderson, South Carolina, but spent the bulk of her childhood in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She is the proud wife of Larry Foye and their four children: Larry Jr., Christopher, Travis, and Brittany. She is the proud grandmother of Donovan, Danyelle, and Jacob Foye! She loves working with children and serving others. She is a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
She has a BS degree in Speech Communications and Theater Arts from NCA&T State University in Greensboro, NC; a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from West Carrollton University; a Masters degree in Educational Administration from USC, and she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from USC in Educational Leadership. She has served as the Principal of Homewood Elementary school for 16 wonderful years.
