Entertainment Technology

The Entertainment Technology major is designed for students who are interested in the study of television and video production, advertising, broadcast or print journalism, digital photography, film appreciation, and creative writing. Students will have the opportunity to work with state of the art equipment in one of the largest television studios in South Carolina.   Students will learn video and television production techniques taught by an industry professional with a concentration on scriptwriting, lighting, audio, special effects, and editing. Students will spend time job shadowing and interning at various local entertainment businesses and competing on a state and national level through the Technology Student Association. This major program is designed to prepare students for employment in entry-level positions within the industry as well as providing the basic skills and foundations for future study in college or technical school.
