Web & Digital Communications
The web and digital communication pathway include workers involved in the creating, designing and producing of interactive multimedia products and services, including the development of digitally-generated or computer-enhanced media used in business, training, entertainment, communications, marketing, and fine art.
The Web and Digital Communications major is designed for students with a desire to pursue careers such as Photographer and Photo Editor, Graphic Artist, Web Page Developer, Webmaster, Illustrator, 2D Animator3D Animator, and Multimedia Specialist or Fine Artist. Students will gain knowledge through Adobe Creative Suite 5 design programs such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Illustrator. Students will have the opportunity to participate in local, regional, and national projects and contests as well as local shadowing and internship experiences. Through an articulation agreement with Horry Georgetown Technical College, students have the opportunity to earn nine credit hours toward a Digital Arts degree.

BSc Art Education BA Fine Arts Med Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Instructional Technology National Board Certified in Visual Art Currently working on a Master's Certificate in Women in Technology
Ms. Etherson has been teaching in the public school system for 23 years. She has a BSc. in Art Education and a BA in Fine Arts, and a Med. in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Instructional Technology. Currently, she is working on a Masters Certificate in Women in Technology at Coastal Carolina University. Ms. Etherson has taught middle school art for 11 years and high school art, photography, photojournalism, graphic design, and media arts for 12 years.
